It’s very hard for me to find a salon that I can trust with my hair but I don’t think I could have been any happier with the result. Very efficient and very fast. Thank you so much and I’ll definitely be back.

I went to get a haircut/trim from here. They washed my hair and cut it. Then refused to blow dry my hair, saying that a blow dry was not included. I didn’t ask for or want a blowout, just that my hair is dry and I can see the haircut. They offered to let me use their blowdryer myself as my hair was still dripping wet. The hairstylist said it wasn’t too cold outside so I could just go. Wild experience or racism who knows

After passing by the salon for months, I decided it was time to try. They have a sign outside for a cut and wash for 50 dollars, which is a good deal.

I called prior and set up an appointment for the following afternoon. All staff were polite and got me in the chair right away. My hair was washed, and then my haircut began. My hairstylist, Beyond, was so sweet, and we chatted the entire time. Beyond did exactly what I asked for, a lot of layers, but kept the length, and that’s what she gave me!

I will be returning.

Have been going for more than maybe 20 years! -- for color & highlights, cut & blowdry. Have lived through different name changes...:) but same staff and always excellent. Very customer oriented, they try to give you what you want. A great neighborhood salon, very reasonable pricing.

I brought my daughter in for highlights and Claire and Lana were so knowledgeable friendly. Claire knew exactly what my daughter wanted and delivered a beautiful full head of highlights! I highly recommend this salon and I look forward to services here for myself as well.

I used to go there once a while for trimming the hair. Unfortunately, this week I hired a indelicate Russian hair stylish and I left there in shock.
I showed her the picture that I would like she does on my hair. It was a beautiful hair style on the shoulder. She cut my hair under the ears!!!! Now, I can't look myself at the mirror. I feel horrible !!!!
Also, this lady didn't feel me comfortable: She complained bcse I wanted to hold my phone and I wanted to have my purse on my side.
I don't think I will come back.
I hope this business can fix this problem and it doesnt happens with other clients.

I have been going to the C&M hair salon since 2011, which makes it a 13-year period. Claire has always been my hairstylist, and over time, she has also become a friend. We know quite a bit about each other already. Over the last 13 years, I have not had one bad experience with Claire or the salon. I highly recommend it.

By the way, I have been living in Switzerland for the past two years, and every time I come to New York, I make sure to visit Claire. That should say a lot about this place.

Oh my gosh I cannot even tell you how wonderful this salon is. The amazing people there are kind and incredibly professional. I showed up with a true hair emergency — a young child whose long hair was so ensnarled in a wide tooth comb that there seemed no hope of ever getting it untangled.
And yet-// they did! And the sobs turned to smiles and the fear changed to pride and now I want to tell the whole world about it.
We didn’t have an appointment, I don’t even live here and they totally saved the day. I might have to come to New York myself just so Lana and Claire can cut and style my hair.

I had great experience having my hair cut and colored by Lana for the first time. She is a friendly and a precision hairstylist. I showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted and she cut it exactly like the picture. I am very happy with my haircut and color too. I will be coming back for Lana again. Thank you.

Lana has cut and colored my hair for years. She does the most amazing job and I always leave completely happy and satisfied about how my hair looks.
Even my husband notice's!
