I’ve been to this Japanese massage salon three times now, and overall, I’ve had consistently good experiences—but there are a few things worth knowing before you go.

The location is excellent—right near the Louis Vuitton store on W. 57th Street. It’s very convenient to get to via subway, bus, or other public transportation. The salon itself is in a discreet commercial building... read full review

I highly recommend them. The massage is definitely strong and deep, exactly what I needed for my stiff neck, shoulders, and back. I'm definitely coming back and highly recommend them.

Across the street from Louis Vuitton on the posh end of Fifth Ave, Salon de Tokyo is no frills, clean and calm. And affordable. Akiya has worked as a masseuse for 20+ years. She is knowledgeable and makes sure to listens to your concerns. The only downside for me is I have fibromyalgia and I’m not certain that shiatsu, deep tissue was the right decision. I usually have more gentle work. And, thankfully I did NOT have my back walked on. But my energy level did revive and I’m a bit looser. There are no miracles for me but all in all it was a good experience.
