Renee is so sweet and knowledgeable. I live hours out of state and there are no black hairstylists that match my values where I live. I contacted her for a consultation and she went above and beyond. She has not only provided me with generous advice on how to get my hair right but also been honest and upfront with me about what’s not working for my hair. That is something that is rare these days. She is one of the few hairstylists that still care about the hair underneath the style. If you need a stylist that will tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear, she’s your person!!!
I have 4c TIGHT natural hair and I have an EXTREMELY tender scalp. I walked in expecting the usual pain of detangling etc. Renee was so gentle I felt absolutely zero pain. I was shocked because I hadn’t even detangled from removing my braids. We did several processes - texturizer (after 11 years fully natural), color rinse, blow, flat iron, clip ins and curls. She was professional and knowledgeable. Renee did a PHENOMENAL job. Lastly, the salon is upscale and relaxing (they play fashion shows - an extra bonus if you love fashion.)
I brought my daughter to Renee for a cut because her hair was badly damaged from a prior salon. Not only was she patient with my daughter who is 6 years old, but my daughter left with her hair looking amazing. I had never realized how thick my daughter's hair until today Renee had her hair looking so shiny and healthy my daughter on our way out immediately requested only to have her hair done by her from now on. . Absolutely an amazing stylist who cares about the health of your hair
