I had the pleasure of having Renee do my hair again after so many years of not being in her chair and she did not disappoint. She was on point and then some! Before I even got to her chair, Renee was understanding and supportive as I told her my natural hair woes. I also wanted one particular style which was not exactly gonna work this time, but Renee offered great alternatives when I thought all was lost.My hair was a tangled, very, very dry, shedding and more and Renee was very gentle with my natural hair and got it untangled, moisturized, and back in great shape. I’m typically sensitive and hypercritical of my hair and anyone that touches it, respectively (I’ve had bad hair experiences). However, I have nothing but praise for Renee and the way she took care of my hair. She also gave advice on caring for it going forward. I’ve never been happier with two-strand twists nor the style that they’re in. Renee is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, professional, and everything in-between. I worked with Renee's daughter, Afi. She was super kind and knowledgable, this was my first "silk press" and she assured me throughout the process and was happy to answer my many questions. She took the time to condition my hair and she straightened it with care and attention to detail. My hair has lasted 2 weeks now! With the New York summer humidity and all. Afi even showed me how to "wrap" my hair for sleeping and she gave me the names of all of her favorite serums and brushes. I reached out to her a few times regarding some questions she was happy to answer and she followed up with me as well to see how my hair was holding up.
