Rafael is hands down the BEST barber in NYC! ALWAYS a GREAT cut! I’m a regular who travels in by ferry from NJ for the quality of Rafael’s cuts. The pricing should be far more for the quality of the haircut you walk out with. IGNORE the negative reviews. Rafael is a Super cool down to earth guy. NEVER once had an issue and I’ve been a customer for awhile. Maybe because I respect the man’s time and make it a point to show up on time every time!

I first went to Rafael’s Barbershop back in college in 2016, and returning on April 15 reminded me exactly why the place left such a strong impression. Even with the location change, it somehow feels better than ever.
The shop has real character: warm, classic, and full of personality without ever feeling forced. The service is sharp, professional, and genuinely welcoming. You can feel the pride in the craft from the moment you walk in, and the haircut speaks for itself.
It is rare for a place to preserve what made it special while continuing to improve. Rafael’s has done exactly that.
Excellent cut, excellent atmosphere, excellent people. Highly recommend.
