Listen: the only other place I would trust to get my piercings done is all the way in Malaysia.

With over 20 piercings — some failed, some retired, some still in place and thriving — I was afraid to get my piercing anywhere else, but I got a vertical stack at Nine Moons back in 2022 and it’s one of my favourites to this day.

Definitely felt like I was a man cheating on their barber by going to another, but if I’m back in New York and wanting another piercing, I’d definitely come back here.

I had my rook pierced by Roze, who was absolutely amazing! They took great care with the placement and explaining each step of the process so I felt comfortable and at ease. The piercing itself was quick and easy - I was probably in and out in 20 minutes or so. Really appreciated the price transparency, the gorgeous jewelry options available, and the vibes of everyone working there - I will definitely be back. Their high ratings are well deserved. I’m writing this one month post my piercings at Nine Moon and where do I begin? I had horrible experience with my helix piercing years back, so I was apprehensive walking into Nine Moons.

On my first appointment, I booked ear curation with Naomi. She mapped out a constellation of piercings and I was immediately drawn to conch. Mustered up my courage and Naomi was extremely patient, assuring and gentle. We placed “baby” BVLA Reema in conch. 2/10 for pain scale? You just feel throbbing heat that lessened in intensity for the next few hours.
