Do not go here! They tried to shame me for tipping $1 below their average tip. they sent a text inquire why my tip was "below average". Horrible Horrible.

It isn’t cheap but they are great at it! Using extensions and Abby, my nail artist was happy to do any design and worked hard to make these fun designs, great place! I’m always looking for a place that can take care of my nails and create designs instead of boring one color and now I found my place in nyc!!

I haven't gotten a manicure in a literal decade, but my best friend treated me to Mellow Bar for my birthday. I gave them a general design and then chose different colors from my reference pic and they nailed it with the colors. The ladies really took their time to choose the right color for the both of us. The service was great and they were gentle with me! The manicure was definitely worth it, as it lasted 3 weeks for me while lifting 5x a week, throughout work, cooking, etc. It's definitely expensive but worth it as a once in a while treat to yourself!

If I could give 3.5 stars I would. This is an update to my last review. After reaching out, Mellow Bar was very apologetic about my manicure experiences (started falling apart less then one week after), and offered me a totally new set, free of charge. I saw a different manicurist and she did a beautiful job. This Japanese gel held on much better, but still, one week later I had two nails with bubbles on the sides. It has now not even been two weeks since the manicure and almost half of my nails have started separating on the sides. I just do not think this place is worth the money. The blue nails are the second mani!

I’m a huge fan of dazzle dry, getting it at many salons, and got a wonderful long-lasting manicure on my first visit. However, on my second visit I don’t believe my nails were properly prepped leading to the nail bed (where I previously had dazzle dry) being raised noticeably higher than the new growth. I pointed it out to my nail tech as I have never had this issue before and she said it was from gel but I haven’t received gel in 3 months, she was uninterested in offering any other solution despite the salon being quite empty. Hit or miss expensive manicures here, don’t think I will be back.Service: Manicure

Right after leaving my Japanese gel manicure, I thought this was the best manicure I ever got, and two weeks later, I can confirm that it was, indeed! I am so happy to have found this gem of a nail salon. The technician, Chloe, was fantastic, very meticulous and so nice, helping me find the right color. I can’t wait to be back!

Have been coming here for two years and it is by far the best nail salon I have ever been to. I cannot go anywhere else! All the products are great quality, the technicians are meticulous, and the atmosphere is fab :)

I got an Apres Extension from Chen Chen, and I am very much satisfied! Chen Chen is an extremely meticulous nail technician which is hard to find these days - so many nail technicians rush things (not their fault. That's how their appointments are scheduled). Chen Chen spent long time on cuticles, checked the length & shape of each nails matches multiple times. I will definitely be back to get my nails done by Chen Chen again!

Pretty disappointed. It was my first time trying Japanese Gel and I was excited about the long wear time and quality I had heard about. The nail tech was distracted, kept getting up to do other things during the service and go on her phone. She also filed my nail beds and cuticles down to the point where it was painful, making one of my cuticles bleed. I did appreciate that she accommodated my request for a thinner french tip, and tried out different colors until we found one that worked. However, it’s been only a week since my manicure and there are bubbles under the gel, lifting on several fingers, chipping on one nail, and my cuticles are way drier than when I went in. I’m bummed that I spent over $100 on a subpar experience, and a gel manicure that didn’t even last a week.
