I'm a transgender man who got top surgery and my left nipple/areola ended up with some cosmetics flaws - such as a flat nipple, a bump on the top part of the areola, and the areola size being smaller than the other side. My surgeon recommended me to Jay from Medical Tattoo NYC. Jay is absolutely wonderful and did fantastic work with my tattoos! She used shading/lighting to add depth to the flat nipple, covered the bump on the top, made the areola sizes more symmetrical, and other cosmetic improvements. I highly recommend Jay's tattooing for people looking to correct any issues after getting top surgery / chest reconstruction. :)
Update after about 4 years (2025): The tattoos still look great. When I post top surgery progress pictures online, I always get compliments about how good my nipples look. Thanks Jay!

I recommend Jay, who is a beautiful person and a truly wonderful artist, to the highest extent.
I have the BRCA1 gene, & last year I underwent a successful Double Breast Mastectomy, then Reconstruction. I knew I was losing my nipples and worked with a therapist to mourn their loss. It was incredibly difficult, but I never considered medical "tattoos" because I don't have any, also I never wanted any for myself. However after talking to my amazing doctors at NYU Langone (Dr. Choi & Dr. Axelrod), I realized that 3D medical "tattoos" are truly about finishing reconstruction. Everyone recommended Jay. I was told multiple times, "you must go to Jay, she is an amazing artist, her 3D Nipples are super realistic".
Jay went out of her way to make special accommodations for me. She was super lovely and kind. Her space is unbelievably clean and orderly. She listened to me, really heard me, and wow. After the first session I can honestly tell you, a part of me I didn't realize still needed healing, is now starting to heal. I see them in the mirror or out of the corner of my eye, and it's fooled my brain into thinking they are real. My husband continuously looks and goes, wow they look so real.
Hands down, if you were on the fence about price, or about getting a tattoo, don't, at least not with Jay. She is amazing, and one of the best decisions I could have ever made. I still have one more session for touch ups, but I can fully say I love my new nipples and hope you find peace and healing in your reconstruction journey.

Jay is a magician and did a very careful and accurate job in matching my skin tone. I had skin cancers removed and they left a large white marks on my skin and now you can barely tell that I have any scars whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Jay did a great job blending old scars from a gynecomastia surgery into the rest of my nipples. She's warm and friendly and VERY careful with the details of her work. My nipples look much more natural and much more whole. Thank you!!

DON'T come here for scar camouflage. I was charged for two sessions and when the first turned out awful, I made an appointment for the next session to fix what was botched (already paid). I got sick on the day of the appointment and had to reschedule but Jay said that due to her cancellation policy she refused to rebook me. That's $900 for something I now have to get fixed by another artist. DO NOT PAY FOR YPUR TREATMENTS IN ADVANCED. Better yet, find a local tattoo artist. I was able to fix what she messed up for $150. What a horrible person. Who bitches someone's scars and then doesn't refund for the bad work? I'm devastated.
