I’ve gotten two haircuts with Netta, she was excellent and understood what cut I wanted. When I came back a few months later, she remembered what cut I like, and understood how to deal with my thick but soft hair. Both times were quick, but it doesn’t feel rushed at all because she takes care to ask about sideburn length, neck, weight of hair, and all sorts of details. A bargain and I will be going back again!

While searching for a skilled barber in New York, luckily I came across Engin Kaya at Makas Barbershop. I was looking for someone who could do both my haircut and beard trim well, and I found exactly what I was looking for.
I was a bit worried because I had some really bad haircuts in Los Angeles before. However, Kaya cut my hair exactly the way I wanted, and, even more impressively, gave my beard an excellent shape. He listened carefully to what I wanted and paid close attention to every detail.
Everyone at the shop is friendly, and the conversation flows so naturally that you don’t even notice how quickly the time passes during your appointment.
