This was an excellent experience! A five-minute walk from the Port Authority, the parlor itself is private and feels intimate, with an excellent atmosphere. This was my first tattoo, and Ada walked me through the process with humor, patience and kindness. I had a specific concept in mind and expected there to be multiple drafts or edits, but she nailed it on the first try (although she was very open about her willingness to change as necessary).
Will definitely be returning when the time comes for me to get my second!
I loved my experience at this small shop in NYC! I emailed Ada specifically as I followed her on instagram for a long time before knowing what I wanted and had the $$ to get it! She was friendly, responsive and clear over email and we scheduled an appointment. I sent her a few inspo pics from pinterest of a mermaid tattoo with watercolors that I had in mind.
When I arrived, Ada showed me what she drew based on my idea pictures. I immediately fell in love with it, and only had a few tweeks. She was patient with me as I asked to see different styles or adjustments to arms, fins and torso.
