I have been a long time client at Serge Normant, I love my colorist and stylist, however I have been very disappointed with the attitude of the front desk staff lately. Whenever I have called to book appointments, they have been extremely rude. They sound like they don't want to be there and have zero customer service on the phone. Perhaps the front desk needs training or better organization. I will continue to go to Serge Normant because I love the services, but management should probably address the front desk staff - their attitude would be very disconcerting to new clients calling in and does have an effect on business - it's a poor representation of Serge Normant and the company.

"As good as it gets" is spot on. I'm almost hesitant to write how good Renée is because either no one will believe it or there will be a stampede. She does colors no one else can and they're perfect for the person. I was miserable with over-highlighted hair which other colonists wanted to "punch up" and make it more blonde. I'm fair and I knew that was a wash. Renée looked at me and said, "You're a brunette." I left looking fantastic. She used vegetable dye so the color faded out and I didn't have roots. Renée added glazes for depth that were spectacular. That was almost twenty years ago. I saw her last week after years of absence and wished I could return regularly. The customer in the chair was such a nice woman with the color red my fourteen year old niece has naturally and I've never seen on another head! It was perfect on her. I've never seen aubergine in NY elsewhere. Renée is also one of the kindest people you will meet. She's brilliant and has a heart as big as her talent. During 9/11 she came everyday thinking people would want to get out of their homes and go someplace familiar, friendly and comforting. She's that and the unexplainable thing called talent. Let me add the front desk is as nice as can be. All the people there are. People like to be with people like them so it's a nice crowd. They're relaxed but go the extra bit that makes a difference if you need it. They like to be happy and want you to be happy too. It's busy because the type of work is precise, professional and intensive. but there's no reason not to smile or understand it's a rough patch. ,

This was by far the best cut and color I have ever gotten. Here's the catch...it cost me over $600!!! I had no idea that it was going to be this expensive. The place was very upper eastside "Ladies who lunch". They have a loyal following of wealthy wives. The cut was $250 and the double process coloring was $400...not including tips!!
