Terrible customer service. Nobody responds when I text their number. When I tried to reschedule and cancel, they called me again to ask me when im coming to the appointment and rudely handed up on me when i told them i had requested to cancel a week ago. Don’t come here…

Yvonne permed my hair and did a wonderful job. The first time I went in she was very patient, she listened to what I wanted and gave me suggestions based on my hair type, and walked me through the process. I walked out with a wavy perm that I really loved. Unfortunately it didn’t hold because my hair is very straight, but I told Yvonne and she was so patient and professional, offering me a second complimentary perm with smaller curls and stronger heat this time to make it last. Amazing service and professionalism, could not have had a better experience. 💖

I had an amazing experience at Hair Philosophy and highly recommend Vanness! From the moment I walked in, she took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and gave professional advice based on my hair type, condition, and desired look.
I came in for both a color service and a haircut, and the results exceeded my expectations. Vanness was incredibly detail-oriented throughout the entire process. She carefully explained the coloring options, helped me choose a shade that would complement my skin tone, and made sure the final result looked natural, vibrant, and healthy. The color turned out beautifully with great dimension and shine, and my hair still feels soft and healthy afterward.

Lucas is an absolute hair genius! I’ve trusted him with my cuts and balayage for years, and I just followed him to his new salon at Hair Philosophy because he is irreplaceable. He always does a phenomenal job, and I couldn't recommend him more. If you want perfect hair, book an appointment with him ASAP!

This has been the most devastating visit. I asked to color my hair from red to medium brown. He colored my hair to black, and not only that, he didn’t ask me regarding the type of dye. I had assumed he saw that my red hair dye was demi permanent, so he’d also use demi permanent, but he ended up using permanent and didn’t tell me. This has caused so much chaos in future visits with other hairstylists when I wanted to go back to lightening my hair. Horrible, horrible man. I don’t remember his name, but he assured me it would be medium brown; it came out black. He told me it would lighten over the next day. It did not. Quack of a hairstylist.

I don’t think I’d return to this salon. My total was ~$465 with tip, and I feel disappointed. I was looking for a rich chocolate-y balayage with dimension and showed several photos of this exactly including a photo that was done at the salon before. I left with thin highlights dispersed through my hair with the bottom half of my hair looking the same as it already was. There is no dimension and it’s not noticeable and not what I showed. I even got a second opinion from another stylist to confirm. I think more time needs to be spent on the consultation, asking the client questions, guiding them through the process of what’s being done (bleach, no bleach, what type of color using, etc.), the aftercare, step by step. I didn’t get this experience and it was disappointing to see the sign in the front asking for 40-50% tip between the stylist and assistant which I felt pressured to give. Also, someone vaping in the salon felt like a let down at the price point. Would go elsewhere where it’s more collaborative and there’s an actual discussion during the consultation. I noticed this difference already with the second opinion I got.
