Sorry to the people that didn't have a good experience. My bff recommended I come here for great quality braids and a good price. Under $200 is rare. I do a fulani style i saw on tiktok. Showed a lady after 3 seconds of examining she started and killed it. Took maybe 3 hours or little over. 3-4 different women worked on my braids and they came out PERFECTLY. Im so happy and will be back! The spot is definitely a hole in the wall but for this price and quality in NYC all worth it.

Hawa was my girl. Not any more. Never coming back. My braids all uneven and shit. Every time I make an appointment with her I always get passed to other hairdressers.

Love my medium knotless braids, they are light weight & neat. Ms Aminata did my hair- she along with two other people assisting were patient, warm and efficient! Very good braiding salon & a hidden gem a few blocks from the B/D line at 125th.

Fidel does excellent work when it comes to braiding—her skills are top-notch, and the finished product always looks amazing. However, reliability is a huge issue. She constantly makes appointments but is always late, often without any explanation or consideration for her clients' time. If you have a flexible schedule and a lot of patience, you might be able to deal with the delays. But if you value punctuality and professionalism, this may not be the best place for you. Great braids, but poor time management!
