Love GJS! I usually come once a year for a mini spa day, I love that you have access to the water spa area with the booking of a service, it's such a nice way to relax and wind down. I had a facial this time with Vivien who was absolutely amazing!! She did a wonderful job and made great recommendations without putting on the hard sell, which I REALLY appreciated!

Small and more lowkey but enjoyable. I will come back when looking for a spa day in Manhattan.
Service was good, easily rescheduled my massage over the phone.
I enjoyed my hot stone massage from Melady. She spent extra time on the spots I was most sore after asking me about them.
The water lounge is smaller than Aire’s, but better lit and less dank. It can reach capacity pretty fast (I went on an afternoon on Presidents’ Day). The cold plunge was especially popular as it had a 2 person capacity- I enjoyed using it tho you could see hairs and debris in the still water.
Great Jones Spa is one of those places that actually delivers on the hype. The sauna was perfectly hot, not lukewarm, not unbearable, the kind of heat that makes you exhale and immediately relax. The steam room had real, legit heat (none of that misty-but-cold situation), which made it genuinely restorative instead of just atmospheric.
I came to relax and do a little contrast therapy -going back and forth between the sauna and the cold plunge - this was the highlight of my day. Brutal for a second, incredible right after. You leave feeling reset, loose, and weirdly energized at the same time.
