This is a late review as I've now seen Stephen Wu at least five times for cuts now, but it's no less a very strong endorsement for him. I chose to go to him initially due to how often he was praised in these reviews, and he has more than lived up to the hype. I had a feeling about him! He's really an artist/barber, which I had struggled to find -- someone with the technical skills, yes, but also someone with a vision, who could offer up ideas of what he thinks would look good. I’ve had two haircuts with Vasyl so far, and both have been great. What stands out is that he really understands hair and pays attention to the little details that make a haircut look right, not just when you leave the shop, but weeks later as it grows out.
I’ve been to plenty of barbers over the years, but he’s the first one where I walked out genuinely loving the result. After my last cut, I honestly didn’t even want to touch my hair because everything was sitting exactly the way it should.

I've been going to Vasyl for a couple of years now and he's become my go-to barber — no question. He's experienced, attentive to detail, and always takes the time to understand exactly what you want. Bring a photo, describe it, or ask for his opinion — he listens carefully and delivers. If anything ever needs a touch-up, he's happy to make it right without any fuss.
