Sammy genuinely saved me. I came out of a huge investor meeting at 7 p.m. with a podcast the next day and desperately needed a haircut. I called eight barbers, but somehow everyone was fully booked.
Sammy took me in at 7:30, finished by 8, and had me looking fresh. Fast, professional, and a seriously good haircut. He really understands hair, including the finer details around hair and follicle health.

Sammy has been cutting my hair since 2009. I followed him around the West Village for years until he finally opened his own spot, and even though I live in LA now, he’s still the only person I let cut my hair. I literally plan haircuts around trips back to New York.
I have longer hair and get a full scissor cut, and Sammy is just incredibly consistent. Amazing attention to detail, actually listens to what you want, and if you show him a picture, he knows exactly how to translate it to your hair. I’ve been going to him for 17 years for a reason.
He’s also just a great person to spend an hour with. If you want to talk, he’s great to chat with. If you want to sit there quietly and be meditative or brooding, that works too.

I’ve probably used 30+ barbers in the course of my life. In multiple cities, U.S. and Internationally. Sammy is by far the best barber/hairdresser I’ve ever had. He’s simply fantastic- and fun to talk with too.
