Unfortunately, my experience with membership advisor Onaly Perrara was unprofessional and uncomfortable.

I felt pressured to join and was asked several personal questions about my income and preferences that seemed unnecessary and unrelated to the membership process.

The interaction felt intrusive rather than consultative, and I did not feel comfortable or respected as a prospective member. A sales process should be informative and professional, not pressure-driven.

This experience left me with concerns about the club’s approach to prospective member?

This Equinox location is just okay. The equipment, machines and facilities are in decent shape. The classes are hit and miss depending on the instructor, as is pretty standard with any fitness club. My experience with the front desk staff has always been positive.

    My biggest gripes:

    1. The only way up to the main floors of the gym are via two elevators. One elevator is almost always out of service, leading to lines/long waits to enter and leave during busy times.

    2. This location is oversold, which hasn’t been my experience with other Equinox locations. This means that there’s almost always a wait for popular equipment, adjustable benches, and classes during busy times.

The lack of stairs in this place is really stupid and annoying. Especially since half the time the 1 out of 2 elevators don't work and we have to share with the maintenance. Plus where are the bands or any extra equipment to use?! Considering how much this gym costs monthly, you'd think they would have those things. Last this is not a gym for those who work out late which really sucks because before COVID their hours were definitely longer than what they are now

Nothing ever works! Prepare yourself for constant elevator outages, showers not working, and the steam room being out of service. Oh yeah, and they will not compensate you for these inconveniences either.

Gym spread across 3 floors with an odd layout, a dark black basement level, and an Earthbar Express (ie. no smoothies).

The male curly hair staff at the reception desk was so rude, chasing me into the elevator asked me to sign in, his tone was like I'm not a member trying to sneak in - and in fact every time I came in nobody ever mention to me, or treated customers that rude. Management team, please, train your staff to have better attitude.

I’ve always loved working out at Equinox — and I’ve probably trained at 50 different locations and typically live in an ajoined Related building — so I know how strong their group classes are for general fitness.

But I started working with Personal Trainer, Marisela, four months ago, and it has taken my fitness to an entirely different level.
She is incredibly high-energy, motivating, and genuinely invested in her clients. What really sets her apart is how well she listens. Even when I casually mention something — an old injury, a tight muscle, or a focus area — she picks up on it immediately and adjusts my workouts on the spot. I’ve never felt more seen or better cared for by a trainer.

Marisela is constantly checking in, encouraging me, and pushing me in the best possible way. Honestly, I think she might be even more motivated to see me hit my goals than I am. One week I was stuck at work late and caught in traffic and assumed I’d have to miss my session. She refused to let me fall off track and actually rearranged her schedule to make sure I got in. That session completely re-energized me — I was planning to stop training, and instead I ended up signing up for two more months.

The results speak for themselves. I can see improvements almost daily, and everything I do — tennis, dance, Pilates, and yoga — has gotten better because of the strength and stability I’ve built with her. After being sidelined for months with a foot injury, Marisela helped me safely and confidently get back into working out. A few days ago, I was walking down the street and realized I finally felt like myself again — stronger, more toned, and more confident.

Marisela isn’t just a great trainer — she’s exactly the kind of coach you hope to find when you’re trying to get back into your body and truly level up your fitness. Equinox is lucky to have her.
