As someone who spent years in PT, getting massages, acupuncture etc. for lingering pain post knee surgery, I can honestly say nothing has made as much of a difference as working with Dr. Shannon for the last 9 months.
Beyond improving my overall strength which has decreased pain, I have gained a new confidence in my abilities and feel like I understand my body more. I’m more patient and optimistic, and have learned that strength and movement are a better form of recovery than rest when things flare up.

I worked with Dr. Shannon Connolly for eight months to help get me back on track with workout consistency, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. I was initially drawn to her philosophy of cultivating the fitness to thrive and say yes from now to 80 years old. From day one, she tailored each workout to my individual hypermobile needs - modifying exercises when necessary and introducing somatic warm-ups that helped my proprioceptive issues. When I first found Dr. Shannon’s Instagram page, I knew the fates had aligned. I had been thinking about trying to find a coach to get me active and lifting weights again after more than 4 years. Multiple years of dancing and sports injuries and a car accident 2 years prior left me with limited neck, back, and hip mobility/flexibility so I knew I needed some help.
