East 6th Street Barber Shop is highly praised for its exceptional haircuts and personalized service. Customers appreciate the attention to detail and the welcoming atmosphere, often highlighting the friendly staff and affordable prices. With a history of great experiences, this barber shop stands out as a top choice for anyone seeking a quality haircut in Manhattan. The shop is reliable, efficient, and has a fun vibe with pictures of the owners’ Uzbekistan ancestors and soccer matches on the big screen. Walk-ins are not always advised due to the skilled barbers and potential waits. The new location at 306 E 6th St offers a clean environment where the staff provides great service. Many have noted that it is the best barber shop they have visited in NYC, with one customer stating their haircut was fixed perfectly after a bad experience elsewhere. Complimentary drinks add to the overall positive experience.
I've been going here for 25 years. Mike is my main man. I've never had a lot of hair but what hair I've had he has taken care of every strand, and I always get compliments on my haircuts from him. This shop has dedicated customers mostly men of all walks of life and walk-ins are welcomed and quickly served. There are refreshments there's always good music or good football (soccer)games on.
If you live in the East Village this should be your barbershop -- Angie is awesome and has been cutting hair for 15 years, kind staff and super welcoming. Haircut didn't feel rushed and was exactly what I was looking for
Great experience getting a haircut with Mike.
He’s highly professional, friendly, and makes you feel completely comfortable from the moment you sit down. You can tell you’re in very capable hands.
It was a pleasure meeting him, and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in New York.
