The stylist Yasi is fantastic, and the salon uses Oribe, which is a top notch product. Fantastic cut and friendly, knowledgeable stylists. A word of caution on pricing: The stylist asked me if I wanted a "blow" dry while my hair was damp. She styled my hair using the blow dryer. I was expecting to pay $60 for the cut plus her tip of $20, but when I paid, I was charged $152. The man at the counter argued that it was for a "style" and a cut. I was not made aware of this policy, and I ended up paying $182 for a hair cut (to be clear, a very NICE haircut) and a style (plus tip) that I would've done gladly at home in 15 minutes...plus my daughter got the attitude from the front desk, for free, when she explained to the guy that she and I had had the same service and she'd been charged the $60. My advice? Get the cut, for sure. The stylists are talented. Make it clear that you want your damp hair dried but not styled, unless you want it styled, too. Despite the attitude and the hidden cost, I'd go back for a cut when I'm in Manhattan and my stylist Becki Hildebrand is out of reach. I love my cut and my daughter's cut <3
After seeing a post on instagram for the balayage special I gave them a message and they were quick to respond! They booked me same day and I was so happy with my results.. Ray helped make My dull at home Copper into a color I never thought I would have :) “if you’re not booking your hair styling needs with RAY, you’re not doing it the right way”. Thank you again for my hair and I will be back when it’s time for a refresh! Also, they are a clean salon they kept wiping things down and vacuuming.. you don’t see that in Texas!
