I will never book with DryBar again. I haven’t used them in several years. I had a blowout 2 months earlier for a test and the blowout was great though the locations is rundown and had no a/c on a hot August day. On this October appointment for my wedding day I showed up at 7:10 for my 7:15 appointment to find no receptionist, 1 stylist working on a client, and 3 people waiting. It took 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me when I finally learned that stylists were no shows. No answers as to when or if I might get my service. I had the worst experience with a stylist named Kierra. I usually never leave reviews unless I had the most exceptional service or the worst one. From the beginning, as she was washing my hair, she was very rough with her nails. Then she pulled my hair hard while drying it, and finally, she tried to pick a fight with me. I wouldn’t participate or respond in the same manner, but she kept doing it, so I got up and left with undone hair without paying (because there was nothing to pay for). This is also the first time in my 8 years with Dry Bar when I wasn’t offered a drink or just a glass of water (it’s their concept, they always offer a drink).
I had an appointment with Najiyah and she was absolutely amazing! She was not only quick but thorough! She handled my hair with such great care and is so incredibly skilled at what she does! I had an event to go to after my blowout and she made me look outstanding! All of the staff went above and beyond to be kind and helpful, especially the front desk staff. Thank you to Najiyah and DryBar!
