About Da Zhong Barber Shop

Da Zhong Barber Shop offers quick and affordable haircuts, with prices starting from $7 plus tip. Despite language barriers, the barbers provide excellent service with minimal waiting time. They understand customer requests, often with the help of visual aids, and deliver quality haircuts comparable to more expensive places. The shop is a great choice for those who want fast, budget-friendly service, making it an attractive alternative to pricier barber shops. Customers often find the shop easily, even if the entrance is a little hard to locate, as it is down a steep staircase to the right of a dessert shop. The shop is known for its efficiency and good value, especially for a quick trim with a few layers or a simple cut & wash for $10. The barbers mainly speak Chinese, but they can accommodate photos and understand fades if customers know what they want. The shop is cash only, so customers should bring enough cash for both the service and tip. Many visitors appreciate the fast service, great bang for the buck, and the convenience of being in Chinatown, often returning after their first visit. Overall, Da Zhong Barber Shop is a reliable place for a quick, affordable haircut in NYC.

    Men’s haircuts are only $8!!!

An amazing value! The barbers understand some English, but communication can take a little patience. It may take a few visits for them to learn exactly how you like your haircut, but once they do, you’ll be happy with the results.

Remember to communicate with a smile because they have good intentions & don't forget to leave them a tip!

At this barber shop, you get what you pay for; my friend uses it to get a buzz cut when he’s got a beautiful full head of hair, making him look like a patient in a hospital. But what can’t be denied is that it has charm : single vertical line with just two barbers and seated clients. No one says a word to each other; the barber knows what the client wants.

The supply and demand curve meet like lovers who know each other and make each other mutually happy. I have never seen curves spooning each other so well, not even in textbooks.

He was extremely kind and meticulous. I've got a haircut exactly how I wanted (trim and a bit of layer). What I love about it is the quality of service and the fact that I spent 15 minutes there - they waste nobody's time including themselves and their clients. I also greatly appreciate that they try to maintain the price affordable for those who need a haircut. I'd definitely revisit and strongly recommend it!
