Men hair cut: $15 dollars (Discount for cutting so bad $13)
Never gonna go back again. Before I even tell her how I want my cut, she was already starting to cut my hair. I told the lady to cut a little bit on the side and top. She cut so fast and sloppy as well. There was no technique or even an attempt to part my hair on one side when cutting. She only use one clip to part my hair. The top part of my head is at least 5 inches in length. You are gonna need more than ONE clip to part the hair fully. I saw at least three inches were cut from my hair.
TLDR: The lady who was cutting my hair was just guessing my style and cutting more than I asked. She gave me a discount because she cut so bad. AVOID

Its' a no frills cash only salon. Def not a luxury experience but ou will get great value here. Last year (2025) when i went it was $35 for cut, wash, and dry. Lily does detailed layered cuts and takes her time. I recommend texting Lily directly to make an appointment for haircut. they do take walk ins but might take longer and won't get your stylist of choice.
May 2026. Lily has done it again, with a reasonable price increase, a cut is now $38 but wow her skill and attention to detail is amazing I asked for a lot of layers and bangs. I came on a Monday earlier than my appointment time but the whole cut she spent around 40 mins

I discovered Sunny City Beauty Salon upon looking up digital perms through Tik Tok, and came across a few videos highlighting how much they loved their digital perms. I absolutely loved the way they turned out, so I made an appointment.
Lily took me in right away, no waiting at all. She was so sweet and accommodating, and explained the process the whole way through. This is my first time at this salon, and I was treated as if I were a regular; with care.
I got both a trim/cut in layers and the digital perm and it was as affordable as everyone says. She didn't rush the process, and actually took her time with the details of the cut. She explained how to care for the curls moving forward for the best results.
I now have a new reliable salon. Thank you so much!

The worst haircut ever. Went in for a trim and a bang, showed the hairdresser an inspo photo. And it turned out completely different from what I expected. The hairdresser added so much layer to my hair, so it literally turned out into a bob. When she was blow drying my hair I noticed the top layer was too short, and she kept on saying it’ll be good when she style it. And nothing changed, it was still not what I wanted. I came out the shop crying. WHY DID I SPEND MONEY TO HAVE SOMEONE RUIN MY HAIR?

Service- Perm I went for perm and I am in love with my hair. I took couple inspo pictures and they said they could totally do it and did it!! The price was also pretty affordable and worth the result.Thank you so much and thank you for the hair treatment cream also❤️

Accepts walk ins and they were so so friendly and accommodating!! I showed them photos and they were super attentive and gave advice on what I should do.

Writing this review right after getting home from the salon because that's how impressed I am. I repeatedly had to change my appointment time, and they were so flexible and kind. I came in during a blizzard and closed the salon out, and Lily still went out of her way to triple check her work and ensure it was up to standards. Twice she went back to fix something and I was tempted to say no because I was hungry and wanted to go home, but you have to trust someone this dedicated and detail-oriented and say yes to their suggestion. I probably wanted to go home more than she did lol. I've been to many salons in Chinatown (multiple Chinatowns, in fact) and this is by far the best service I've gotten to date. The staff is really kind and yes, they do offer snacks!
In my experience with Chinese salons, you should be a little flexible with your vision because they like to offer suggestions. I was really happy with Lily's suggestions for the most part - including changing out my middle part for the first time in years (major!). I'm excited to come back here!
