About Boutique Barber Shop
The Boutique Barber Shop, located in the Upper West Side of New York City, has been providing personalized and high-quality haircuts and grooming services for gentlemen and boys for over 20 years. This small shop, often referred to as a "hole in the wall," offers a cozy atmosphere with 2 or 3 barbers who genuinely care about their clients. Customers have praised the friendly and welcoming vibe of the shop, noting that the barbers are attentive and remember their preferences. One barber, Frankie, is recognized for his great haircuts, responsiveness, and friendly conversation. The shop is designed to be just wide enough for the chair and for the barber to stand behind during a cut, ensuring a comfortable experience. Despite its size, the shop has a quick turnaround, with haircuts taking about 15 minutes. It serves a diverse clientele, including seniors who can enjoy a cut for only $25 on select days. Customers who have been visiting for years highly recommend the Boutique Barber Shop, finding it difficult to match the quality and service elsewhere. Overall, it is a well-regarded neighborhood spot known for its excellent work, kindness, and efficiency.
Unfortunately, I've been to almost every barber on the UWS to find someone who knows how to cut Asian hair. For context, I get a medium skin fade. Not complicated, but really difficult to perfect, especially on super coarse, super straight hair. All 3 barbers here are better than every other barber I've been to in the city over the last 8 years. I said what I said.
I’ve been going to this shop for over three years. Alex, Gabriel and Frankie always do a great job, their customer service is excellent and I always feel welcome. They clearly care about what they do. Highly recommend
Have tried many barbers in NYC. None quite get it right like Gabriel. I have stiff Asian hair and many barbers do not know how to cut nor style it. Gabriel does the best fades and is great with scissors. Have been coming here for 2+ years and will be continue to be here for many more! Would give 10 stars if I could
