It was a good massage, but I have no idea if or how (as what made it special or “medical” was neither apparent nor explained) it was any more effective than the Chinese bodywork massage I get for 1/3 of the price and twice length on the UWS. More disappointing was the fact that it was actually a 45 min massage. They advertise this $25 off intro offer, but actually it’s disproportionately a ripoff, as it should be 25% off the regular price (which is more than $25). I was a few minutes early for my appointment but my therapist was running a couple minutes late, which was no big deal as I assumed I was still going to get a full hour massage as she was behind, not me. The fact that we finished at 3:00 on the dot (meaning, one hour after my appt was supposed to start) was disappointing given the high price. I also did not realize that the sit down at the beginning of the appt was coming off of my massage time. I wouldn’t have gone into detail and would’ve just said “I have plantar fasciitis,” and moved along. The appointment confirmation read “2:00-3:15 pm,” which led me to believe this initial consult was not part of the supposed 60-min massage. I was then left alone for 5 minutes to take my clothes off and lie down…and wait…and wait. Again, wouldn’t have been a problem if this waiting time wasn’t coming off of my massage.

The website talks about how the masseuses are compensated as professionals and as a “medical treatment,” there is no need to tip unlike a spa environment, but then it was the masseuse who went to take my payment and present me HER PHONE with the tip screen as she stared at me. SO AWKWARD. Then, she took my credit card and punched the numbers into her phone, which left me feeling very uneasy. Very unprofessional to not have Square or the like and now I feel like I need to scrutinize or lock my credit card because some random (however nice-seeming) person literally has my credit card info in their personal phone.

Sadly, my quest for relief continues…

I came in 4 days after a marathon and it helped so much with recovery. One day I could barely walk, and the next I was back to running - it was like magic.

I have been working with Leela for the past nine months and she is fantastic. I like that she takes notes on each session so you pick right back up where you left off in the last session. She works magic with her hands...I still don't know how she loosens everything up without applying much pressure but she's extremely competent and effective. I'd highly recommend working with her.

Working with Leela has been transformative. I came in with significant chronic pain, and through consistent sessions I’m now largely pain-free—something I didn’t think was possible. She works with such intuition and precision, always finding the exact source of tension. Beyond that, her kindness and humor make every session something I look forward to. I feel more in tune with my body than ever!

Christopher didn’t want to be there. He shaved 15 minutes off my massage because I showed up a few minutes behind and used the restroom then he proceeded to have me sit down and talk -gather history and asked questions and details about irrelevant things. Didn’t respect my request to concentrate on pain source (sciatica) and instead insisted he also treat my shoulder. Dropped my arm from suspension instead of setting it down gently as soon as the minute reached the original hour and didn’t honor the time I paid for. It was only us at the studio in a later time slot and I didn’t feel fully comfortable with that although I kept assuring myself it was fine and this was a professional place it didn’t feel that way. Someone else should always be there so client feels safe and comfortable and masseuse is held accountable. I checked the phone before and after, it wasn’t an hour. I’ve had so many professional massages in my life, this one didn’t reach the bar and I will never be back. Do not recommend. Even if I wasn't offended by his rudeness it wasn’t a good massage and didn’t concentrate on my pain area.

Furthermore, after posting my review, the business responded with several inaccuracies. I have documentation confirming I was only 5 minutes late—not 25, as they claimed. Their reference to security camera footage contradicts the actual timeline.
Additionally, they stated my shoulder issue was related to my sciatica, when in fact it involved the OPPOSITE side of my body. Their refusal to take accountability is, unfortunately, consistent with how I was treated throughout my experience. I also found another client who shared a similar experience—feeling uncomfortable when no one else was present in the office. This pattern reinforces the concerns I had during my visits.

Got massage with a therapist who didn’t work on the hand at all despite I told her it’s what I wanted to focus on. Weird
