I researched many of the dentist in the area. I don't have dental insurance so that did not factor into my decision. I knew I needed some major work for gum disease. My regular dentist had retired so I was looking for someone who was very diversified in their practice and who had modern technology in their office such as lasar surgery. I wanted to find a dentist who could coordinate all of my dental care. The other criteria was I wanted someone who had been practicing and has experience, but not someone who would be retiring in the next 10 or 20 years. I found Dr. John Kong of Better Living through Dentistry. He is incredibly patient and knowledgeable and answers all of your questions. It ended up that I was not a candidate for lasar surgery, but needed regular surgery for my gums. He was able to provide me with all the research and reasons why regular surgery would provide me with healthier gums in the long run. It has almost two years now that I am using John Kong, DDS for my regular dental care, caps, and periodontal work. Since I was a little girl, I never liked going to the dentist. NowI look forward to going to the dentist now. Dr. Kong is a real gem. He is also reasonably priced. I know he takes insurance. I have recommended him to others and they are all very pleased with him.
