Walked in and luckily they took me right away they had great selection calm peaceful environment they offer a neck massage while you’re getting your manicure, which was great for me cause I have trouble relaxing. I will definitely come back here. I looked out walking into this place.

When I moved to the Upper West Side, I assumed I would shop around all of the nail shops by me before deciding where I wanted my regular spot to be, but there was no need to keep looking after I went to Beauty Box! Every manicure I've had has been exceptional, and I always feel like getting my nails done was money well spent. Every technician here is so good, that I don't even request to see the same person each time I come - something I've always done at all of my past spots. Some names that come to mind of exceptional techs are Chelsea, Queenie, Vivienne, and Sue, but again, everyone I've ever had has crushed it. For context, I used to get SNS/dipping powder, but now I do UV Gel.

Extremely disappointing experience. I came in expecting professional service and left frustrated with both the quality of the work and how the situation was handled afterward. The nails looked rushed, uneven, and not close to what I requested. What bothered me more was the attitude when I brought up my concerns. Instead of trying to understand or fix the issue, I felt dismissed and spoken to rudely. Mistakes happen, but customer service is what matters when they do. I left feeling like my concerns simply didn’t matter. Based on my experience, I would not return and would encourage others to think twice before booking here.

I’ve gone to Beauty Box on and off for years. Most of the time, they do a good job. Unfortunately, today was not the day. Rather than wrapping my nails in acetone, the tech was see a file and some chemical that was supposed to peel the gel off. It did not remove all the gel and left my nail bed bumpy. During gel application, I had to show her the bumps and make her file again before reapplying gel. When she was done, I noticed most of my nails were still bumpy from the leftover gel and there was polish in my cuticles. I paid for my service but will never go back. All techs should be highly qualified for something as simple as a gel removal and manicure

So I’ve been here many many times and really enjoy the quality of the work, the employees performing services, the receptionists, out of the dozens of times I’ve been I leave fully satisfied 99% of the time. HOWEVER the last two or three times I’ve been the masseuse has asked everyone in the salon getting their nails done if they wanted a massage during their mani and the same man has fully skipped over me MULTIPLE times. I’ve gotten massages there before and again they’re great but for some reason this guy doesn’t approach me? Maybe it’s bc he doesn’t feel comfortable working on other men? Idk. But it makes me feel odd. I’m a paying customer and should be treated like everyone else. I always tip well, I know a few of the manicurists by name but the fact that this man always purposefully ignores me makes me feel unwelcome.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to for this place — they’re just that good! I come here all the time, both on my own and with my daughter, and we’re always comfortable and well taken care of. The staff is warm, welcoming, and consistently does an excellent job, all at a fair price.
Having lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years, I can confidently say this is the best nail spot in the Upper West Side. Thank you for always making our visits such a pleasure!
