Should be zero stars. I saw Q twice to cut and color my hair. First time he rushed and didn't listen to what I wanted and spent whole time bragging to me his approach is better than other colorists. I told him I want balayage all over and he instead did a streaky face frame mess, not what I wanted at all. Because I'm young and d*** I went back to him again a few months later for a touch up thinking may he had a bad day. This time he did all over balayage but he doesn't know how to use bleach - he killed my hair so bad that it almost all has broken off over next few weeks - I wanna sue him. So awful

Stylist did eventually provide a full refund and was reprimanded / temporarily suspended by the owner. Hair update: my hair is STILL breaking off when touched due to extreme damage of bad bleaching techniques. It's too fragile to style or apply heat. Will take YEARS to fully heal it and grow it. This guy destroyed my hair.

After hearing & seeing so many great things about Q, I finally decided to give him a chance and book an appointment. I previously had bleached grey hair and decided to box dye it dark brown. I knew it would be difficult to go back to blonde and didn't have many high expectations. Q did a test strand first and gave me an honest answer on how difficult it would be to get it as light as I wanted it. He was patient, attentive, and understanding of my wants and blew me away with the results. I can definitely say he underpromised and overdelivered. After 8+ hours, I have the prettiest blonde foilayage and still love it a week later :) I would recommend Q to all my friends. You definitely pay for what you get!

All I did was show Q what I wanted my hair to be (basically exactly what he did for my friend back in January - not the girl in this pic) and he literally replicated the same color! A little backstory- I booked my appnt last minute, but Q had time for me even on a Sunday! I also have heavy and thick hair but that didn't scare him at all. Q personally styled and cut my hair- explaining every thought he had in mind (like how are we styling it/what kinda look we going for) and what he's doing for each step. Besides that, he's personally working on my hair when in most salons I would get the assistant doing my hair majority of the time instead.

Working with Alph was such a blast! He listened (I asked for something that is low maintenance and natural) and delivered, he really worked with my vision and it was such a fun experience. I looove my new hair and can't wait to work with him again in the future. It does take a while (7-8 hours) but it's sooo worth it and good work takes time !!

I don't even know where to start - Alph is the absolute best. I walked in with an absolute mess of a hair color: three different shades of dark brown (all in different tones) and hair that had definitely seen healthier hair. Alph was so patient with me and great in explaining what was most achievable on hair in my condition and color history - we decided to bleach until my hair couldn't take it and then go from there. The end result was the most gorgeous cool darker tone blonde that I have been absolutely obsessed with ever since. You can really tell Alph cares so much about your hair and with giving you the best result possible while still leaving you with healthy and beautiful hair. He is meticulous in his work and is all around a really wonderful person. I would 100% recommend Alph to anyone I know and I cannot wait to see where we take my hair next!

This was my first time going to Qiu because I came across his ig profile and really liked the foilayage work he did. I decided to go for a dark brown foilayage because I had ash brown/ blonde balayage for many years and wanted to a change. He was honestly so amazing & attentive to my hair & really understood me when I said I wanted something more natural. I also got a trim and he made sure to not cut off more than I asked for and I really appreciated that! My hair took around 7/8 hrs and it was def worth the wait. I love how seamlessly it blends in with my black hair at the roots but its still a nice shade of brunette/ dark brown. Would definitely recommend my friends to go to qiu!

I am sooo picky about my hair & only go to the best of the best!! Asian hair is so hard to work with, so I literally search for months. I found Alph Qiu and he exceeded my expectations + more!! I'm so obsessed and my hair transformation was unreal. If you are questioning if you should dye your hair... this is a sign to do it and boom with him!!
