This is one of the most magical spaces in NYC. Ann is an amazing teacher who leads a studio of deeply caring and intelligent teachers. The programming they offer for the community is such an underrated thing I hope more people take advantage of. Aside from that, having had one on one instruction with many of the teachers, anyone who studied here is not only deeply empathetic but has a deep awareness of the body and I would highly recommend them to take sessions with. Overall, I love this community of people and if you’ve been curious to do Alexander Technique I can’t imagine a place that would be better than here to start, you’ll be in the best hands & have your...read full review

I recently rented a room at the Balance Arts Center for a friend's birthday. I could not have been more pleased with the decision to hold the event here. The room was right off the small lobby that you enter from the elevator, the bathrooms are located right there also. The staff was extremely helpful with all my questions and very helpful when it came to setting up the room for the event. We wanted to do quite a bit of decorating which was fine with them, we cleaned it all up after of course, they supplied plenty of garbage bags. There is also a small kitchen that came in handy. They had the seating and the tables and the lighting that we wanted, plus a grand piano too. Good location, just a short walk from Penn Station for those out of NYC and subways for everyone else. We all had a great time. Thanks again to Balance Arts Center!
