I have been bringing shoes here for 15 years and have always been happy with the results. I have had many shoes resoled, heels fixed and just generally 'refreshed'. Especially shoes I really love and don't want to replace. They are not cheap (hence the 4 stars) but they are excellent.
Great, old-fashioned little shop offering excellent service at affordable prices. An Upper West Side friend of mine had recommended Angelo's to me, and the kind staff member replaced my watch battery on the spot for just $14—considerably less than the $20+ (!) I was quoted elsewhere in the neighborhood. A very easily overlooked place tucked away on the block, I'm so happy to have discovered them!
