I read the other reviews and agree this is a very special salon. I've been going to Christine for many years and have never been anything but thrilled at her styling and coloring. When you get your hair done at Anagen, you really do feel like a different person, somehow younger and definitely more chic! The ambiance is uniquely comfortable (so different from the snooty salons!) but you know you're in a very high quality salon from the results. I've come to know the wonderful Vanessa and Bernie who assist, as well as Andrea and Sue, other stylists. Love 'em all! Got my hair relaxed here last week, and purposefully waited to wash to see the results. I NEVER post on Yelp, but found this salon worthy of an excellent review! Staff at Anagen is super friendly - Andrea and Vanessa made the time go by super quickly. My relaxer looks great and I have very stubborn hair. I highly recommend this place!

I started going to Anagen about 6 months ago, on suggestion of my boyfriend who has been going here for years. I made a consultation with Kenneth( the colorist) to see if he could save my over processed, bleached, and broken blond hair. I mean, my hair was bad. I had gone to a few other colorists to see if my hair could be saved and no one would even touch my hair. Short of shaving my head I thought my hair was doomed. But Kenneth proved me wrong. He is incredibly talented and very carefully brought my color down from stripper blond to a very natural blond.
