I hate to do this to a small business, but I gave them a chance. I even went to other nail salons and came back, and no change. I have been going to this nail salon for 4 years now. The ladies are lovely, and in the first few years, I did not have an issue. However, something shifted in the last year, especially with pricing. The service was diminishing and the prices were increasing. When I started to pay with card, I was being overcharged, so at one point I told the lady who handled the payments about it and she started arguing with me. IDK if there was a change in management, but the last year the service has been horrible and with the amount of money I paid, i did not get my money's worth. The last visit, was the end for me. Just know if you visit, you'll receive not the best customer service and is very disappointing because I was a regular.

It’s cool, not my favorite in the height BUT They open on Sunday which is a plus. Most of all Small businesses should have an ethics class and customer service.

DO NOT COME HERE. This is the worst establishment in Washington Heights. I got a full gel set here on Friday 7/19 along with a gel pedicure. 3 nails broke within a span of 3 days. I come back on the monday 7/21 to have them fixed and then changed to a french and was charged the full $65. I paid that. Today 7/23 I am back to fix chips and a broken pinky. After spending $160, the older lady in the second chair on the right of the store starts going back and forth with me about payment to fix the the broken nail and the chips. I am a REGULAR client and have been treated extremely poorly after spending hundreds of dollars. This place sucks, I am NEVER coming back. The nail tech didn't even bother to apologize, instead she calls the owner on the phone only to tell me that she would be losing money if she took the 30 minutes to fix the nail. I am beyond pissed, and I will blast this to all platforms.

I recently visited Alexandra Nail Salon for a gel manicure and pedicure around Mother’s Day weekend. Surprisingly, the wait wasn’t long despite the holiday rush, which was a pleasant start. However, the overall experience didn’t quite meet my expectations, especially considering the cost.
The designs of both my manicure and pedicure were rather basic. While simplicity can be elegant, I was hoping for a bit more flair for the price paid. More concerning was the quality of the top coat application—it peeled off shortly after I arrived home, indicating that it hadn't been dried properly. This was disappointing, given the salon’s premium pricing, which is notably higher than other local options.
In terms of the salon's atmosphere and service, everything was just okay. There wasn't anything particularly negative, but nothing stood out as exceptional either. It seems like a viable option if you're in a pinch and other nearby salons are fully booked, but it might not satisfy those looking for a pampering experience that feels worth the expense.
In summary, Alexandra Nail Salon offers quick service even during busy times, but it struggles with delivering value for money. It could be an option if you have no alternatives, but if you're looking for high-quality nail care, you might want to explore other salons in the area.

The service is terrible! The products are not good, if you make a claim because your nails were damaged. The next day... the owner looks at you with a dirty face. The place it's terrible I don't recommend..???

Terrible customer service manager is rude and obnoxious. She will hang up on you without any discernible understanding of what going on. They don't like black people they will most definitely up-charge for service. I came here with my friend who does her nails here all the time and get it's same length and size all the time for $45-50. But apparently for me it's $75. I tried to reason with them to understand what was the reason for the up charge. No valid answer, just a bunch of lies.
