After 2 years of rehabbing a shoulder injury, I decided to give acupuncture a try. I am incredibly glad I did. After just 2 sessions with Ryan, my range of motion is vastly improved and I am no longer waking up in the middle of the night because I rolled onto my shoulder. Ryan is very communicative and lets you know everything he is doing. He answers questions and puts you at ease through each session. He lets you know what to expect and checks in continually to makes sure everything is ok. For those who are worried about pain, don't be. The needles are painless. Whether you have a specific issue you need help with, or just want to treat your self to a relaxing experience,...read full review

Ryan's expertise and knowledge with acupuncture has helped me significantly with relieving body aches and calming life stresses and anxiety. Through his various needling techniques and caring nature he provides the utmost healing experience. He does not rush or overbook his patients and provides top shelf service in making sure to check in on previous concerns and addressing any new issues. I highly recommend his services!

From 5 Point Acupuncture

What do you get when you combine a powerful ancient healing technique with leading edge medical science? Precise solutions for every malady—from complex internal dysfunctions to chronic musculoskeletal pain. Such are the hybrid capabilities of NYC acupuncturist Ryan Smith. As with all acupuncturists, he approaches healing holistically, viewing pain and discomfort not as problems in and of themselves—but as symptoms of an imbalanced qi. Re-balance the energies…and health can be restored. Yet not all acupuncture is created equally. Ryan’s East-meets-West training, broad seasoning, and natural intuition make him effective. In addition to acupoints, Ryan utilizes trigger points and motor points, sometimes called "dry-needling".
