Slocum Dickson Medical Group, located on Burrstone Rd, is a well-established medical practice that has been providing care for patients of all ages since 1938. They offer a wide range of services including primary care, specialists, employer services, urgent care, radiology, and laboratory services. The staff at Slocum Dickson are known for their professionalism and care. For example, Dr. Alexander Harris went above and beyond in treating a patient with a severely infected eye, providing care on a holiday and several other follow-up appointments until the patient's eye returned to normal. The phlebotomists at the Business Park Dr Campus, Amanda and Lori, were exceptionally kind and patient in handling a child with autism who was struggling with having his blood drawn. They helped the child with grounding techniques and even sang to him, making the difficult situation more bearable for both the child and the parent. The Urgent Care and Orthopedic departments also received high praise for their timely and excellent care. One patient received treatment for a fracture, an MRI, and a fashionable boot all in one day and in one location. The nurses and medical staff were commended for making patients feel welcome and putting their needs first. Overall, Slocum Dickson Medical Group is an excellent medical practice that provides comprehensive and compassionate care to its patients. They have a wide range of services and specialists, and their staff are dedicated to providing the best possible care to their patients.
Today while I was sitting at the entrance I could realize that in the same entrance when they open the doors the metal on the floor is very high every person who arrived in his wheelchair tripped the chair where the patient could spend an uncomfortable moment. I let you know because I worried several times about the uncomfortable moment that each of these people was going through.
I went to the lab for blood work on 4/18/26 for an upcoming appointment with Dr rajas office specifically for an A1C test. When I went for my appt on 4/23/26 they asked me where I had my blood work done, I told them here like always, well the A1C was never done and it was blamed in a new computer system as usual. They said I could have had it done that day it I wanted to that even though they ordered it for me it was up to me they didn't need it, so I just left! The care being provided here is getting pretty bad. My doctor is retiring in June (Dr La Grant) and I just don't what to do at this point.
I don’t normally do this but I have been going here for over a decade and it has progressively gotten worse. The wait times are out of control. I try to show up 10-15 mins early because there is always a line to wait at check in as well. After check in, you wait roughly 45 minutes and are greeted by the nurses who, most of the time, are rude and cold. When you go to the room, you sit there for another 15-20 mins before seeing the provider.
The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because I love my PA, Alissa C, she’s amazing at what she does and addresses all my concerns.
