I ended up training here while passing through town. In my five years of training BJJ while traveling for work, it’s not so common to come across a school where the instruction is competent in smaller towns. But here, it was. Pretty tough students and good instruction. I was impressed by the positive attitudes and the light hearted but tough rounds. I was shown respect and kindness but challenged as well. The head instructor blessed me with a round and I learned a lot. There were plenty of women to roll with as well which was a plus! Thank you to this school for helping me out and I hope I’ll be passing through again soon.
I visit the New Hartford area often, and have always had an awesome experience at Dojo 1. Professor Len is a wealth of knowledge and all the members are super inviting and kind. Part of me wishes I could visit New Hartford more often just to come to this gym. If I lived in the area, this would be my gym, no question. Thank you so much Professor Len and can't wait to be back!
