My daughter, Amanda, danced at WDA from age 11 to 18. Prior to that she was at the School of American Ballet in NYC, so it was important for her to maintain quality ballet training, while learning other styles of dance. This was her first foray into the world of competition dance. We had heard great feedback from other parents and decided to check it out. We watched a small group rehearse and needless to say, Amanda was hooked… and I was impressed. Our “barre” was set high and WDA surpassed it. My daughter was a ballerina who had high standards for a studio as she had trained with one of the best ballet schools in the world, School of American Ballet, the official school of the NYC Ballet. Although she was only 12 when she came to WDA, she knew great talent and training when she saw it. She was sold immediately and before we knew it, she was competing at the highest level and even clinched a national title, landed a modeling job with Bloch dancewear, and the front cover of Dance Teacher Magazine with director Kelly Burke. She still got solid ballet training but also learned various other styles, which made her a well rounded dancer and gave her more options... read full review
