I called the office at 430pm just to make a new patient appointment: front office/receptionist deliberately put me on hold several times for 30 mins, just to drag to 5pm then the call was put to message center. I can’t see this office can get new patient. Avoid this somers orthopedics office at all!!!

Before contacting this practice be extremely aware that their billing department is beyond inept. You will be worked over for payment in person by unprofessional, rude front desk staff even before you have the opportunity to receive an EOB from your carrier. Their billing department will make you hold then send you to voicemail which is never returned. Policy is to send one statement then you are sent to collections. When you ask them for a detail of what is owed and what has been paid they will not provide and tell you they just need payment, period. This is unfortunate given how wonderful Dr. Fauser is along with his staff that performed the injections. Never again for Somers Orthopedic due to their incompetent administration.

All is well that ends well...or at least it is going in that direction ! Dr. Daniel Smith performed surgery on my husband's leg and the follow up has been first rate. Smith has been attentive and available to answer questions. He is dedicated to his patients and has been extremely supportive of my efforts to care for my husband. My concerns initially were perhaps reactionary . My frustration at not being able to ascertain the time for Jerry's surgery or anything else should have been directed at SOP'S administration and not at this dedicated, well trained, and caring surgeon. The Practice should understand that communication with its patients is of utmost importance. A medical practice, in my estimation does not have the privilege of maintaining "Bankers Hours". I will recommend Dr. Smith to family and friends, hopefully not too often!
