We made the switch from another veterinary practice about two years ago. Our oldest dog is a rescue/vet reactive, and although he's only 30 lbs we were told he would have to be put under anesthesia for every appointment going forward at our previous vet. This seemed excessive, expensive and unnecessary. My co-worker told me that he made the switch to Middletown Veterinary with his vet reactive dog, so we thought we'd try. Our last visit, our dog only cried once. My husband was so proud, he talked about it for days. Our other dog and cat are easy at the vet but are provided with great care as well. RUDE, JUDGEMENTAL, COLD AND DISMISSIVE VET. RUDE VET TECH. INEPT RECEPTIONIST. POOR COMMUNICATION WITHIN THIS OFFICE. THIS FACILITY DID NOT HAVE THE PROPER SUPPLIES TO CARE FOR MY PUPPY AND CHARGED ME A $126 EXAM FEE. I adopted a puppy with a broken leg. The puppy had a cast on her leg that was put on at a local emergency hospital. I went to Middletown Veterinary Hospital about 2 1/2 weeks after the puppy's cast was put on. When I made the same day appointment, I explained that I had a puppy in a cast that needed follow-up care, specifically for the broken limb and I forwarded the x-rays from the emergency vet, as requested. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I wouldn't recommend going to this vet unless you want to be treated like a cash cow. I had just brought my older dog in for a physical (he has a heart murmur) because he was showing signs of an upper respiratory infection. Doctor just prescribed him a cough suppressant. My younger dog then started showing the same signs. The vet diagnosed my younger dog with kennel cough and gave her both a cough suppressant and antibiotics. When I asked if I could have antibodies for my other dog, who had the same symptoms and had just been seen, they refused and asked me to bring my dog in AGAIN.
