    The wait time here is absolutely unacceptable. I checked in at 10 AM and, THREE hours later, I’m still sitting in the waiting area waiting to be seen by the ophthalmologist. It feels like they consistently overbook appointments while having too few doctors available. Every single visit involves an insanely long wait, and today is no different. Other patients in the waiting room are saying the same thing, so this clearly isn’t an isolated issue.

    The cardiologist that I saw ordered multiple diagnostic tests. I called the billing office and left a message asking for estimates. A few days later I received a call back and was told to ask my insurance for an estimate. I answered that my insurance company doesn’t know what tests the doctor ordered and neither do I. The person refused to give me an estimate or CPT codes so I could try to figure out the cost on my own. The Middletown Medical Patient Bill Of Rights, the federal No Surprise Medical Bill law, and the New York State No Surprise Medical Bill law all require providers to give cost estimates.
