The automated answering service tries its best to keep patients from speaking with any actual person, forcing you to leave a message. But then I never heard back regarding my first message. When I chose different prompts to speak with a human, I was hung up on a couple of times. I had to go to the office in person to ask the front desk personnel my question directly. I also asked for a refill of my birth control. Dr. Pine said she did not feel comfortable refilling this as she is not an OB-GYN, which makes no sense at all (I’ve only had birth control prescribed by GPs). I would note 1 ⭐️ is not against the staff at this location. It is for the CEO and Board at Middletown Medical. They have put their own bottom line ahead of the needs of the patients. The park lot at the East Main St location is unsafe and inadequate. The corporate assembly approach has taken precedence over the patient’s wellbeing, care and safety.
Staff at this location unfairly have to field complaints, that the admission fails to address.
Attempts to contact and type of administrator, Board Member or the CEO are met with Call Center staff either disconnecting calls or refusing to forward them.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this practice to anyone seeking thorough or patient focused care. They prioritize volume of the waiting room and speed over quality, and this results in us patients not receiving the attention or comprehensive care that we deserve. Long waits, terrible call center, many appointments rescheduled last minute. This practice falls short in many, many departments.
