I received a large delivery of soil today, and the individuals involved were exceptionally pleasant. I will certainly be returning to them for all my future gardening requirements.

Love coming here for their seasonal events. We always have a great time. Our last event was the egg hunt which was fun and well organized. They even had an adult egg hunt as well and gave away some freebies to the kids during the event. They went the extra mile to ensure we left happy and I couldn’t have appreciated it more for them making my daughter’s day with the effort that was put in to reach out to us.

, I wanted to share an honest review for those who attend Dogwood each year. I want to start by acknowledging how much effort clearly goes into this event. The lights on nearly every tree and the overall concepts are truly commendable. That said, I can’t in good conscience let other parents spend $100–$200+ on an experience that, this year, simply was not worth the cost.
Starting with the new “premium” tiers, they give the impression that something especially impressive has been added. Unfortunately, that was not the case. This year there were fewer bounce houses, and those that were there were poorly lit and not adequately staffed.
The welcome entrance, which typically includes fake snow, wasn’t working at all. The Christmas movie experience was moved to an obscure location and replaced with a game that no one seemed interested in. Wagon rides, which were previously included, are now split between regular rides and “special” rides with a $5 upcharge. One of the wagon drivers even commented to me, unprompted, that “the boss made a lot of changes this year” and that he personally didn’t agree with or see the value in them.
They also removed the snowball fight area and replaced it with marshmallow cannons for an additional $5. I didn’t see anyone lining up for that. We did enjoy the pedal carts, which thankfully had no upcharge.
We tried the s’mores kits, which are such a cute idea, but the marshmallows were stale. Lastly, we paid extra for the reindeer experience, which in theory should have been wonderful. Unfortunately, one staff member was very rude during our interaction. We had an 8:00 p.m. time slot, and at 7:30 p.m., while nearby, we politely asked if we could go a bit earlier since our 2- and 5-year-old were getting cold. The response could have been a simple no, but instead was delivered rudely. I accepted it and didn’t argue.
We then sat on a bench in the cold for 30 minutes while no one showed up for their scheduled times. We easily could have been in and out in five minutes. By the time we were finally allowed in, my 5-year-old was sobbing from the cold, and we had to cut the experience short and leave altogether.
In summary, while Dogwood has been enjoyable in past years, this year’s experience was not worth the price. I wanted to share this as a fair warning to others considering attending.
