I had noticed the cedar trim and siding below my lake side windows were rotted, along with a few boards on my deck, and needed replacing-- just a small job. I soon discovered most siding contractors won't do small jobs. I was grateful when Ed LaPlant owner of Edmund Construction said he was happy to do small jobs himself while his crew was busy with bigger roofing and siding gigs. The small job however became a bigger job when we discovered the weather proofing around the windows was inadequate and not only was the siding rotting but the plywood sheathing underneath!
