This is my first anniversary of joining this fantastic group of people committed to the true values of Joseph Pilates. The core philosophy of Pilates emphasizes a holistic approach to fitness, focusing on mind-body connection and whole-body health. Pilates sought to develop a balanced body, improve posture, restore vitality, invigorate the mind, and elevate the spirit through controlled exercises and breathing techniques. The goal is to fuse mind and body so that the body utilizes its greatest mechanical advantage to achieve optimal balance, strength, and well-being. Pilates practice is addictive due to a combination of factors, including quick and sustainable physical results, a mental boost through mindful movement, and the creation of a strong sense of community. And all of this is accomplished with precision, proficiency and professionalism at Club Pilates at Melville. I am addicted to the core (no pun intended). I joined Club Pilates a year ago after suffering from lower back pain. I had three children in four years and although I lost all of my baby weight, my back was still hurting on a daily basis. The owner Missy, had reached out and discussed how beneficial Pilates was in strengthening your core muscles. I joined and within a month or two, my pain was non-existent! Not only was my lower back pain gone, but I found something that I truly enjoy doing. Thank you to the teachers at Club Pilates!
