Th real deal Martial Arts school. A Long Island institution for forty year and still the best in New York.
I have know Sensei Anthony Arango for over 30 years. He has always been a great martial artist first and foremost. He walks the walk and talks the talk. He is a great leader and a beacon to all of his students. I have been training in the martial arts for over 52 years and when I know someone who wants to train that lives in his area, The Martial Art Institute is the place I recommend. So much so my relatives train there.
My daughters have been students in this school for over two years. My oldest trains 5x a week, my first grader goes 3x week. They rush my husband and I out of the house to get to karate, partially from excitement to get into class but undoubtedly to see Sensei and his son who assists in training the students, to tell them what’s new since the day before. The level of respect given to their instructors is validation to us parents that they are in fact in the best school around. Training in the dojo has helped us enforce routine, the kids learned to recognize the importance of maintaining routine. The value of self discipline, the ability to have that optimistic perspective towards a challenge. The martial arts institute educates their students on self defense and so much more. They learn to recognize and appreciate their success which evolved from their dedication. The kids have the opportunity to experience the satisfaction to earn something. This drives them to be motivated in all aspects of life. The students value their wins- they have pride in their victories and if they are to fail, it is with grace. For them acceptance of failure is an affirmation that they are always growing. If you accept growth your opportunities are endless. Arango Martial Arts Institute is our home away from home.
