“Such good vibes and good people. I felt like part of the crew when I got my tattoo done. I was able to coherently talk to my artist to work with them to get exactly what I wanted. They took into account my allergies, which was really important for me. I love that all the different artists here have different styles so if you're looking for something particular there's going to be someone great to be able to help you with it. The place is clean, they practice the right sterilization processes. They also celebrated artists and have art galley showings! The one that was up when I was there was so cool. “I had originally heard of Elva and The Blank Slate through an old coworker who posted her new tattoo on FB. I was in the market for a new piece as well as a new artist. Elva's style on my friend matched the exact style I was looking for. I already had pictures of reference and I emailed Elva per her site. Let me tell you, the fact that she got back to me within 24 hours was already a plus to me. She was professional and to the point on what she needed from me next. After I booked my appointment I did have a few questions/concerns regarding my tattoo, style and placement. Without hesitation she emailed me back at her convenience and followed up with all my issues, which put my mind at ease. Through our emails Elva knew I had to arrange for babysitting services in order to keep my appointment and anytime there was an update to her schedule for our tattoo date, she made sure to notify me. The day of the tattoo Elva greeted me and made me feel super comfortable in her studio. We chatted about all different things and I felt like I was hanging with a friend, not just some random stranger I literally just met. I was so impressed with all her knowledge of tattoos and the history of it, it was great to lay back and have a listen . “Tony did my tattoo in 1997, just after I got divorced. It was a snake...metaphorically it never dies, just sheds its skin and renews. I recall I sat in a dentist chair and looked out over the river. He told me he tattooed his left arm himself, it was a whole sleeve. I loved that he used vegetable dye. Great guy, I'm happy to see the business is still going strong.“
