I made an appointment with Dr. Bragin because my old eye doctor retired and I accidentally looked at the eclipse, and I’ve been experiencing pain/eye strain ever since. He had the quickest availability and it was immediately clear as to why. Both he and his receptionist “scolded” me many times for looking at the eclipse, even though I explained that it was an accident and for only half a second. He was at least thorough with his testing and told me that I didn’t do any permanent damage to my eyes. Dr. Bragin provides a comprehensive service to his patients while taking into consideration the input of other factors- costs, immediacy of need, etc.. When facing a diagnostic challenge, he provides references to his colleagues who specialize a given solution. Happy to be a longterm patient!

Dr Bragin has my family (Me, husband, mother and 3 daughters) optometrist for the past 15 or more years. He performed eye surgery on my mom about 10 years ago and he did a wonderful job, my mom stopped wearing glasses and now has 20/20 vision. My daughters are now adults and continues to want Dr Bragin as their opthalmologist because he is so good. He is personable and has great bed side manners. He remembers my family's not by what's in their chart but from personal things he learned throughout the years. When i go in he would ask by name how is my mom, daughter and other family members doing. I remembered when hurricane sandy hit and he was still working to care for his patients. He experienced a devastation during hurricane sandy but was still pleasant and asked about my family. Not sure why those other reviewers had bad experience but i have never seen him or his office staff as being rude or anything but extremely pleasant and welcoming.
