“The reviews are correct - this is a great no frills affordable local spot. New to the area and after travelling a while I was desperate for a proper shampoo & cut. Stylist was attentive and very sweet. Added bonus for me - the store is filled with rodeo merch and fantastic boots. “I've been going to Kika for about 2 years now and I am so grateful I found them! Before that, I spent two years trying to find a good hair salon after moving to NYC in 2019, and there was a lot of disappointment. I've gone to both Ana and Leah, and they are both great. And everyone at the salon is so personable - they really get to know you and your hair.I get a Brazilian Blowout done about every three months, which is a precise and time-consuming process. Any other place I tried in NYC before finding Kika would have me out in an hour and a half and the quality never compared to what I get at Kika. I had two wonderful hairstylists in the last two places I lived and I missed them terribly when I first moved to NYC. I knew how the treatment was supposed to look on my hair, and every place I tried here would rush it and skip steps. “I will be returning!!! $5 eyebrow threading from a nice woman a couple blocks away!! It wasn’t a totally perfect job, I had to touch up my brows just a little when I got home, but it was definitely worth it. Looked so much better than before. An informal set up. She offers a much of services with a price list on her website too“

“Yes, Sally Boyyyyy !!!You were 100 % correct about this salon; these ladies definitely know what they are doing and most Importantly me threader Sangitiglly listened to what I wanted done & she delivered !!!Very happy it's been a few years since I've found a real deal threader !!! I drove all the way from Brooklyn to give the place a try on the word of a good friend Sal; FYI, his eyebrows always look perfect so I asked him where he goes & with no hesitation i went & got em done !!! Sal told me he uses any one of the ladies and he's always satisfied with the outcome ...... I use to use a place on Crossbay Blvd. Howard Beach been in business for over 35 yrs and still going but the original owners Mom who was the best passed away and then shop was sold to a cousin; gave then a try and I never went back been doing my own for over 8 yrs or so but not no more !!! Very polite & friendly ladies over here & the shop is very clean and their prices are very reasonable !!!$ 6. Bucks for Eyebrows !!!
