At first when I came to Old Hickory it looked like a course that was flat and without much character. After 18 holes my son ( who came to play as he was competing in an RDGA qualifying round the next week) said”if I lived near here I would join in a minute!” I agreed and was so impressed with the condition of the course and the awesome greens which were fast and perfect. A very nice public golf course that is cared for with loving care.

Since David Roome purchased Old Hickory Golf Course. The course itself and the clubhouse, etc have undergone extensive improvements. The kitchen offers one of the best fish fry's in the area. Reminiscent of Aces renowned fish fry. In addition, they offer a variety of appetizers and sandwiches. There have been many improvements to the course- attention to landscaped areas on the course; new tee boxes; new clubhouse to be built this season. 40 new GPS carts for the golfers' pleasure. The personnel/ owner are making improvements that will make Old Hickory a premiere course in the Genesee Vally Region.

Course is already in best shape iv seen in 5 years and it's the 2nd week of may. This place will become the best place to golf in WNY in the years to come !! Def worth the price
