Great martial art school with focus on individual approach to students, helping each one perfect the technique with lots of encouragement! Friendly atmosphere and spacious dojo with not-crowded classes put this school above the rest for us.
I have been coming to this dojo and training under Sensei Novik since 2018, and it has been a series of rewarding experiences. The atmosphere is friendly, and energetic, and there are so many classes that it's really easy to find time to attend. Sensei Novik is very good at breaking down complicated techniques into easy to understand language and analogies. During the COVID-19 Pandemic he started offering classes over Zoom for free to help his students stay active and engaged with Aikido. Let me begin this review with the following statement based on my son's 11 years of training in Aikido with this dojo, both old and new. This is truly an excellent dojo, under new leadership (Sensei Novik) since 2018, with an empathetic, skilled head Sensei who truly cares about all his students' needs. Sensei Novik has fostered a trusting environment in the dojo, one of warmth, safety, focus, and clear self-defense instruction.
