We recently used Johnstons’ Wellwood Funeral Home for my father-in-law’s services, and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. From the very first phone call, I knew we were in good hands. Michael and his team treated us like family with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care.
Michael handled everything seamlessly, including coordinating with the church and cemetery, which allowed us to focus on grieving without added stress. Every detail was taken care of with such respect and attention. It was clear that our loved one was being honored and cared for in the best possible way.

Mike Massaro & the entire staff over at Johnston’s Funeral home handled everything for my father’s recent passing. Anything, and I mean ANYTHING I needed to be done or any questions or wishes I had, they made sure the had an answer & honored them. Anyone that is looking for a Funeral Home that they want to use to honor & memorialize their loved ones, this is the place to do it. Very knowledgeable & caring staff. You will not be upset at all. The funeral home was beautiful and clean and everything was great until the day of the funeral. There was absolutely no coordination with the procession from the moment we left the funeral home… the hearse and funeral limos drove with no regard to the line of cars following them. We lost half of our party (many from out of state) who ended up going straight to the cemetery themselves because they got stuck at a light and the procession proceeded without them. Any procession I’ve ever been in, there is an additional usher and/or director who controls the traffic on the main roads to make sure that the party stays together OR they pull over and wait for everyone to rejoin. I have never been in such an unorganized procession and I myself and MANY other family members and friends were very upset because we missed out on passing our loved ones home and it was just unorganized. I also think the bright funeral signs for the mirrors need to be provided because surrounding drivers see them and then let the procession proceed as opposed to just seeing cars flashing and cutting off. I would recommend this funeral home because other than the procession everything was amazing!!

I can't say enough good things about Johnstons' Wellwood Funeral Home and staff members Jessica and Adrian. My older brother was cremated in 2011 and we planned a joint burial with another brother in August 2023. Found out the DAY BEFORE flying into NY that I needed a cremation certificate which we could not locate. Jessica/ Adrian worked hard to locate that and get it to me in time for the burial. What a relief. They really care and I highly recommend their services!
