I have been using Kingston Alterations for 20+ years. I have had everything from business suits altered to jeans hemmed. Every alteration has been spot on! I highly recommend them. They are very friendly and have fast turnaround time and very affordable prices!

Called the shop after being refused by another place for not having my shoes that were flat sandals. After I explained that I didn’t have my shoes to the seamstress she welcomed me to her shop right away and took her time with making sure the dress was a good fit while pinning me. Thankful for her expertise!

It always amazes me when people complain about the price of tailoring versus the price paid for the clothing item itself. The price of the work is still the price of the work! Expecting a professional seamstress to overhaul or even alter cheap, disposable sweatshop clothes for a lesser price is absurd. Do you think you are entitled to some kind of "I support sweatshops" discount? That said, I was delighted to find Kathy about 10 years ago. Since then, she has altered numerous irreplaceable vintage items for me, and I have never been disappointed with her work or had something go awry.
